Cost-efficient solutions
Old, but not old-fashioned, moving freight by water has become a modern and integrated transport solution, which is cost-efficient and flexible.
Congestion free and multi-modal by nature
The growing network of waterside terminals make inland shipping a well functioning solution to avoid traffic jams, providing tailor made, door-to-door logistics services in partnership with other transport modalities.
Reliable on long and short distances
Inland navigation is the most international of all land transport modes, with over 50% of tonnage being international. Very cost-effective on long distances, more frequent services now mean increasingly shorter distances are viable. In Belgium, France and the Netherlands, more than 30% of the traffic is carried over a distance of less than 100km.
A ship for each commodity
The fleet is made up of a variety of vessels with loading capacities from 14 to 500 truckloads. General ships and highly specialized vessels with self-loading facilities on board can carry conditioned goods, fresh produce, pallets, liquids, abnormal indivisible loads, hazardous cargo etc.
