European platform for inland navigation promotion
Inland Navigation Europe – INE is a membership organisation that works across Europe aiming at increased mobility by promoting freight traffic on the inland waterway network. The association links waterway freight promotion bodies and national waterway managers. Created in 2000 with support from the European Commission, INE is an independent organisation with no commercial interests.

Water is the way to go
INE actively promotes inland shipping. Through its members, it provides practical and relevant information to businesses on moving freight by water. INE develops and shares best practice models for efficient and sustainable transport on canals and navigable rivers, supporting forward-thinking entrepreneurs to benefit from this cost-effective, reliable and congestion free system. Through its Brussels’ office, INE advocates policy initiatives and concrete measures which will make moving goods by water more attractive to businesses in the European Union.
